Sunday Sunday Sunday. . .

our day started off this morning with a wonderful breakfast! shortly after we loaded up and drove off to a place called Green Valley. it is a beautiful sight where God's majesty and creation are clearly displayed. there we had an amazing time of devotions, worship, and communion. the fellowship and setting couldn't have been better. on the way back we did have a few technical difficulties (mini vans stuck in the sand, one of which, 4 girls had to push out) but all turned out alright. our day then proceded with lunch, drama practice, free time, dinner and a hike. the hike was to the top of a mesa where we watched the sunset. it was yet another beautiful sight! today 6 more of our team members drove 14 hours straight to meet up with us at the mission. we are having such a great time getting to know all of the wonderful people God has placed on this trip with us. we greatly appreciate your prayers, they have been SO effective already!! we can't wait to be assigned our work crews and kids club teams tomorrow and begin serving the Navajo people.

authors note: we would try to be wittier, however, we are tired, sweaty, and in great need of a shower. PS: HI MOM!! (love, Rachel and Kortney)

A's update: lost to the Angels Saturday in a 11-6 embarrassment. Oakland had 4 errors. Sunday our starter Anderson took a perfect game into the 7th when he gave up a single. Amazing pitchers' duel, Anderson vs. Lackey. The angels scored one run in the 10th inning to win the game.

PS - Yesterday was Kurt Suzuki day at the Coliseum. Kurt is from Honolulu. They gave away Suzuki T-shirts with leis as part of the design, and they had hula dancers and Hawaiian music before the game. Any Hawaiians with you this year?

Mariah,

I saw your picture the first days you were there and thought you looked pale. Are you feeling better now? You could have had a virus. I read your message today 7-22-09, and we miss you too!!! We have been praying for you to get well so you can really enjoy this experience. please continue the anti-V, 3000mg vitamin C, and lots of green vegitables and 2 cups yogurt/day. Drink lots of water!!! Get a solid 8hrs of sleep.
Teach all the children about Jesus and how he loves them. Sing to them "Jesus loves the little children". Please give Justin a hug for me and tell him we miss him too and are praying for him also. I will send Cameron the message. :) All Our Love,
Dad and Mom
